Dell EMC Sensor

Monitors the health and power consumption of Dell EMC storage through the Unisphere Management REST API, including file systems, LUNs and storage pools.

The Dell EMC Sensor is designed to monitor the health status and power consumption of a Dell EMC storage device. This is achieved using the Unisphere Management REST API. With this sensor, users can monitor vital information related to file systems, Logical Unit Numbers (LUNs), and storage pools present within the Dell EMC system.

Options:

  1. Connection Profile: This allows you to specify details about how to connect to the Dell EMC system.

  2. Authentication Profile: Define the authentication credentials required to access the Unisphere Management REST API.

Alerts:

  • Connection Error: Triggered if there's an issue connecting to the Dell EMC system.
  • Authentication Error: Raised if there's an authentication problem when trying to access the system.
  • Filesystem space is almost full: Alerts the user when the storage space in the file system is nearing its limit.
  • Pool space is almost full: Notifies the user when the storage space in a pool is close to being full.
  • System Health Status Alert: Generated if there's any change in the overall health status of the Dell EMC storage device.

Default Reports:

Filesystem Report:

  • Dell EMC.Filesystem\Used Size [bytes]: Represents the amount of storage space currently being used in the file system.

LUN Report:

  • Dell EMC.LUN\Snap Size [bytes]: Indicates the snapshot size of a LUN.

Pool Report:

  • Dell EMC.Pool\Free Size [bytes]: Shows the amount of storage space available in a pool.
  • Dell EMC.Pool\Used Size [bytes]: Displays the amount of storage space that's already been utilized in a pool.
  • Dell EMC.Pool\Snap Size Used [bytes]: Represents the amount of snapshot storage space used in a pool.

System Report:

  • Dell EMC.System\Current Power [watts]: Displays the current power consumption of the Dell EMC storage device.
