Azure Cost Sensor
The sensor monitors the estimated cost of resources in Azure subscription, and the progress of expenses within budgets defined in Azure subscription.
The sensor reads all budgets defined in the Azure subscription and, by default, alarms when some budget has been used up above 80%. You can also define your own alerting rules for any budget.
The sensor calculates the estimated subscription costs for the current billing period. You can define an alert when the current cost exceeds a certain value. Alerts can also be defined for costs generated by selected resources or resource groups.
Both current cost and budget status can be represented with Object Status Widgets.
Requirements
This sensor requires credentials for Azure subscription (Application (Client) ID, Tenant ID, and Client Secret Value) with a custom role with permissions:
- Microsoft.Consumption/*/read
- Microsoft.CostManagement/*/read
Options
You need to choose an Azure subscription and the starting day of the monthly billing period. By default, the sensor is run once a day as recommended in Microsoft's documentation.
